Understand the steps of the COHAT in this 4-part lecture series that covers Oral Anatomy and the Conscious Exam, Dental Charting and the Anesthetized Oral Exam, Professional Dental Cleaning - scaling and polishing, and Patient Discharge.

This lecture will discuss the importance of analgesia for the dental patient by utilizing, Pre-visit Medications, Pre-Anesthetics, CRIs, Nerve Blocks, and Post-op Pain Control.

1 hr lecture

Learn the proper angles and techniques to achieve good, diagnostic intraoral radiographs. We will discuss tips and tricks to help with challenging areas and how to correct mistakes quickly and efficiently.

30 min lecture

2 hr lab

Learn how to safely administer intraoral nerve blocks to provide analgesia to all four quadrants of the mouth. 

​

In accordance with state regulations this course is reserved for LVTs and DVMs.

1 hr lab

This Lecture and accompanying lab will teach you how to sharpen your instruments and care for your dental equipment to maintain optimum functionality and improve efficiency.

 

Please provide your own instruments for sharpening. We will provide sharpening stones and oil.
